A tradition of excellence in fine jewelry that started nearly 100 years ago, Johnston Brothers continues to carry on that tradition and remain the trusted name in fine jewelry in the area.

     The business was founded in 1912 by the Getz family on Main Street in the center of Bel Air.  Marcus and Santford Johnston began their careers in the family owned jewelry business in the late 1960's.  The Johnston Brothers learned the arts of fine jewelry from the ground up and became an integral part of the family business.  In the late 1980's the Getz family retired from the business and Marcus Johnston took over ownership of Getz Jewelers. 

     In 1999, Marcus retired the Getz name and business and Johnston Brothers opened a new state of the art facility at 10 South Main Street in the heart of Bel Air.  The new store is located in the same building that housed the original store nearly 100 years ago!
